The younge foal was laying in some tall grass and let out one last strangeld raspy cry and her head fell to the ground. She was starved and anywhere from a day to a week old and on the verg of death. She lay there breathing shallow.

Love stepped in, seeing the dying foal. Though she was a dark, she still felt sympathy for the creature. She walked up to it, nugding it's skinny little body. She had recently had a stillborne foal, her mate left her, bacause he thought it was her fault. She had milk to feed the little thing, but it looked like it couldn't even stand...

I lifted my head a bit at the sound of another and looked at her. "Who are you?!" I rasped demadingly as I made an atmpet to stand at her nudge. I could tell even at my age that she was a dark as I was born with them. Or at least my mother was one. I looked at her as I finally was on my feet and tryed to decied what to do.

"I am Legacy. Love's Legacy." She said, stepping back from the creature. "I am a dark. I see you need... help." She looked at it's skinny little body. "Where is your mother?" She asked curiously. She had milk from her stillborne colt, so if she needed food... She looked at it's wobly legs. "Are you alright?" She had no experience with foals, so she didn't know they were supposed to look like that.

She stood her ground and gave a sound that was a horses equivlent of a hiss and a growl and said "My mother was a sleeper of a dark mare. She dumped me for a light stallion. Before you say she loved him- no she didn't she killed him after a week of breeding then gave her self a few hard kicks in the stomach to rid her self of foal. Why should I trust you?!" she splayed her legs a bit to stop the wobbeling and arched her neck. She would never go through that again. She would rather starve.

WEll, you don't have to. She said, not really caring too much what the filly thought of her. You don't have to trust anyone. I just thought you might have wanted some help. She said, eying her skinny body.
